포스트모더니즘의 해체주의와 컨템포러리 사유와의 전쟁에서 해체주의의 승전보가 전해져 옵니다.
영원히 변하지 않는 진리란 존재하지 않는다는 생각.
‘세상에 정답이 어딨어? 각자의 의견대로 자유롭게 살면 돼’라는 자유의 인셉션. 이는 체계의 경계를 무너뜨리고 진리를 침식합니다.
모더니즘의 규율사회로부터, 포스트모더니즘은 한정되고 답답한 현실로부터 눈앞의 파티를 즐기는 것 같은 신비한 해방감을 우리에게 안겨주었지만, 해체주의의 강력한 확산과 관성은 오늘에 이르러 우리를 혼돈으로 몰아넣고 있습니다.
저는 환경을 그리는 예술가입니다.
단지 눈으로 볼 수 있는 자연이 아니라, 삶의 배경으로써, 인간이 생겨난 환경을 그려내고 있습니다. 그리고 그 환경속에서 살아가는 인간의 인식구조를 작품으로 결합시키고 있죠. 이러한 작업들은 인간의 존재를 가리킵니다. 우리가 어디에서 왔고, 어떤 존재라는 사실을요. 이것은 인간이 존재하는 원리이면서 모두가 공유하는 공통으로써 변하지 않는 것입니다.
동시대 흐름은 변하지 않는 것으로부터 달아나며 저에게서도 멀어지고 있습니다. 이번 전시는 이에 대한 이야기예요.
자유롭게 변화하는 눈앞의 현재는 마치 탐험과 같은 즐거움이 있지만, 지금은 너무 멀리 나와버려서 베이스캠프를 놓쳐버린 듯 해요. 신나게 놀다가도, 언제든 집에 돌아갈 수 있는 지표, 랜드마크를 잃지 않아야 합니다.
저는 인류 공동체의 공통을 인간이라면 부정할 수 없는 인간의 변하지 않는 존재의 구조로부터 출발합니다. 유전자 생명체를 기반으로 한 인간의 존재는 신체의 신경계의 흐름에 종속될 수밖에 없습니다. 또한 물리적인 감각, 감지로부터 세상을 확인하고 상호작용하며 살아가죠. 이러한 것은 고전적 이데아와는 달라요. 규정하고 가두는 것이 아니라 원리에 가까운 세상의 구조입니다.
감각되는 풍경이 지니는 의미는 ‘인간은 감각되는 현실 안에서 살아간다는 것’입니다. 인간 공동체에는 이러한 공유되는 공통이 존재하며, 미루어 파생되는 변하지 않는 진실, 기준이 존재해요. 이것이 세상에 영원한 진리는 없다는 생각을 파급시키는 포스트모더니즘이 사살한, 사살하고 있는 진실입니다.

In the war between postmodern deconstructionism and contemporary thought, deconstructionism has been winning.
The idea that there is no such thing as eternal, unchanging truth.
The idea of freedom, where there is no right answer, and everyone is free to live as they see fit. This breaks down systemic boundaries and erodes truth.
From the disciplinary society of modernism, postmodernism gave us a mysterious sense of liberation, like a party in front of our eyes, from a limited and stifling reality, but the powerful proliferation and inertia of deconstructionism is pushing us towards chaos today.
I am an artist who paints the environment.
Not just the nature that you can see with your eyes, but the environment as a background for life, the environment that humans have created, and the cognitive structure of humans living in that environment. These works point to human existence. This is the principle of human existence, the common, unchanging thing we all share.
Contemporary trends are running away from the unchanging and moving away from me. This exhibition is about that.
The freely changing present in front of us is like an exploration, but I feel like I’ve gone too far and lost my base camp. It’s important to have fun, but not to lose the landmarks, the indicators that you can always come home to.
I start with what we have in common as a human community, the undeniable structure of our existence. Based on genetic life, our existence is bound to the flow of our body’s nervous system. We also see and interact with the world from our physical senses, our senses. These are not classical ideologies; they are structures of the world that are not prescriptive and confining, but more like principles.
The meaning of the sensed landscape is that we live in a sensed reality. There is this shared commonality in the human community, and there are unchanging truths, standards that are derived from it. This is the truth that postmodernism has killed, and is killing, the idea that there are no eternal truths in the world.
